1998年カンザスで生まれた彼らは、Policeの鋭いリズム、U2のカタルシス、Slowdiveの残響を無意識に抱きながらただ純粋に音を鳴らし始めた。やがてドラムのクリスはSeason to RiskやThe Life and Timesでの活動を経て、バンドは静かに時を止める。しかし2021年、メンバーの心臓発作という衝撃が再び彼らを同じ場所へと導く。それは偶然とも必然ともつかぬ、運命の断片が再び繋がる瞬間だった。 2022年11月、彼らはMassive Studioの扉を開き、SHINERのポール・マリノウスキーを迎えて一気に音を刻み、予測不能なグルーヴの中で時間と記憶がひとつの音像となり静かに結晶していった。こうして生まれたバンド史上初めて名を冠したアルバム。これこそカンザスシティ・プライドを宿し、プログレッシブでありながらドリーミーで繊細な響きが広がるその一枚は、彼らの魅力を極限まで引き出した、心から推したい作品である。

Born in Kansas in 1998, they began playing with a pure, unadulterated focus on sound—unconsciously carrying within them the sharp rhythms of The Police, the catharsis of U2, and the lingering echoes of Slowdive. As drummer Chris moved on to play with Season to Risk and The Life and Times, the band’s clock quietly ground to a halt.

However, in 2021, the shocking news of a member suffering a heart attack led them back to the same room once again. It was a moment where the fragments of fate—whether by chance or necessity—finally reconnected. In November 2022, they entered the doors of Massive Studio with Paul Malinowski of SHINER. Within an unpredictable groove, time and memory merged into a single sonic image, quietly crystallizing into form.

The result is their very first self-titled album. Imbued with Kansas City pride, this record balances progressive complexity with a dreamy, delicate resonance. It is a work that draws out the band's essence to its absolute limit—a release I recommend from the bottom of my heart.
