スリーピースの強みを限界まで引き出し、泥臭くも切実な“男汁”のごとき衝動を鳴らすbarican。2025年9月にリリースされた2nd EP『There is no self』の余熱も冷めやらぬ中、早くも新曲をドロップ。洗練とは無縁の、心の奥底から滲み出る「叫び」は、聴く者の記憶にある“あの頃の音”を、今、別次元へと引き上げる。

対するは、東京が誇る老舗ポストロックバンドで別名“体育会系インストバンド”の異名を持つMIRROR。17年振りの2ndアルバム『voices』が完売必至となる中、間髪入れずに新曲を提示。クラシカルかつアクロバティックなギター、メロディアスなベース、そしてタイトなドラムが織りなすスリリングな曲構成は、まさに卓越したテクニックと情熱の結晶である。

「エモ/ポストロックのリバイバル」という言葉では決して語りきれない、両バンドの必然性がこの7インチに凝縮されている。懐かしくも新しい、今この瞬間の「音」をその耳で確かめて下さい！

マスタリングは、セイハロ作品ではお馴染みのTJ.Lippleが担当。ジャケットはPswingset、Football, etc.のドラマーDaniel Hawkinsによるもの。7インチ限定300枚！DLコード付き（ストリーミング配信は未定です）。

Pushing the power of the three-piece format to its absolute limits, barican unleashes a raw and urgent impulse — something primal, almost visceral. With the afterglow of their 2nd EP There is no self, released in September 2025, still burning strong, they waste no time in delivering a new track. Unrefined and unfiltered, their cry rises from deep within, lifting the “sound of those days” embedded in the listener’s memory into an entirely new dimension.

On the other side stands MIRROR, Tokyo’s long-standing post-rock institution — often referred to as a “athletic instrumental band.” With their long-awaited second album voices, released after a 17-year silence and already destined to sell out, they present yet another new composition without pause. Classical yet acrobatic guitars, melodic basslines, and tightly controlled drums intertwine to form a thrilling structure — a true crystallization of technical mastery and emotional intensity.

Not a revival, but an inevitability.
