東京アンダーグラウンドの底の底で、温度を剥ぎ取った超硬質ジャンクサウンドを鳴らすTorr。
枯れたアルペジオ、言葉になる前の感情や気配を浮かび上がらせるThree Marks of Existence。
本作は、その2組による単なるスプリット音源ではない。
同じスタジオ、同じエンジニアのもとで録音され、さらに録音順をそのまま曲順として反映することで、制作の時間そのものを作品化する試みである。

レコーディングを担当するのは、MIRRORのギタリストでもある森健司郎。
バンドとしての現場感と、エンジニアとしての視点を併せ持つ森が、両バンドそれぞれの質感を、同じ録音空間の中で記録する。

マスタリングは、数々のDC作品を手がけてきたTJ Lipple。
日本の地下で録音された4曲に、海外インディー／ポストハードコアの文脈とも接続しうる奥行きと最終的な輪郭を与える。

そしてジャケットは、絵画・インスタレーション・詩を横断しながら制作を行う川島桃香が担当。「喪失が生じた後において、実体のない他者を愛し続けることは可能であるのだろうか」という川島の主題は、本作の痕跡、余白、泥臭さと静かに呼応する。曲が形になっていく過程に寄り添ってもらいながら、本作のために書き下ろされたものである

バンド、録音、マスタリング、アートワーク、そしてレーベル。
それぞれの手が加わることで、本作は単なる2バンドのスプリットではなく、TorrとThree Marks of Existenceを中心に複数の共犯者が連なって立ち上げる、ひとつの作品体として結実する。

Torr create an ultra-rigid junk sound stripped of warmth, ringing out from the deepest depths of the Tokyo underground.

Three Marks of Existence bring forth withered arpeggios, emotions before they become words, and traces of presence that drift into view.

This release is not simply a split recording by these two bands.

Recorded in the same studio, by the same engineer, and with the recording order reflected directly as the track order, this work is an attempt to turn the very time of its creation into the structure of the release itself.

Recording was handled by Kenshiro Mori, also known as the guitarist of MIRROR.

With both the physical sense of a band member and the perspective of an engineer, Mori captures the distinct textures of each band within the same recording space.

Mastering was handled by TJ Lipple, known for his work on numerous DC-related releases.

He gives these four songs, recorded in the Japanese underground, a depth and final contour that connects them to the broader context of overseas indie and post-hardcore.

The artwork was created by Momoka Kawashima, an artist whose practice moves across painting, installation, and poetry.

Her central theme — “Is it possible to continue loving an immaterial other after loss has occurred?” — quietly resonates with the traces, spaces, rawness, and physical residue found in this work.

Created specifically for this release, the artwork was developed alongside the process of these songs taking shape.

Through the hands of each participant, this release becomes more than a split by two bands. Centered around Torr and Three Marks of Existence, it takes shape as a single body of work brought into being by a chain of accomplices.
