■2012 年、中川暁生(Gt/Synth/Loop) と番長(Ba) により活動開始。SAY HELLO TO NEVER RECORDINGS より1st『Rezension of Renaissance』、ミニアルバム『EXIT』、四連シングル『BPMA』とリリースを重ねてきた。オリジナルメンバーに加え、山本淳平(Dr/LOOLOWNINGEN,etc) の正式加入、予てよりライブサポートとして参加してきた松崎幹雄(Ba/Stim,田我流とカイザーソデ,etc) を迎えた最強の布陣で３年ぶりにレコーディングされた今作は、結成以来の意欲作となった。
■ライヒを代表とするミニマリズム、ジェフ・ミルズらのテクノ／ダンスの高揚、イーノに発するアンビエントの思潮。そしてそれらチルドレンの彩る現代のスケープの千千へ向けて、Tortoise に代表されるようなポストロックのバンドマナー／身体性と、Floating Points のようなコズミックなトラヴァースセンスを両立しつつ正面から投げかえそうとしている。Rupurizu は今作、前作で確立したアンサンブルのさらなる純化とともに、匹なる人物のコンセプトメイキングへの参加により独自の作品世界観の飛翔を計った。「ダブルディスク」アルバムというコンセプトの今作には“オフィシャル・ブート” と題されたセルフライナーノーツが封入される。
■エンジニアリング／ミキシングにはTHE COLLECTORS などを手掛ける小林慶一氏（Strawerry House）、マスタリングは石野卓球作品などを手掛けるドイツのConorDalton氏（Calyx Mastering）が担当した。

Biography & Formation Formed in 2012 by Akeo Nakagawa (Gt/Synth/Loop) and Bancho (Ba), Rupurizu has built a steady discography on SAY HELLO TO NEVER RECORDINGS, including their 1st album Rezension of Renaissance, the mini-album EXIT, and the four-part single series BPMA. This latest release—their first in three years—marks a bold new chapter. The band has evolved into its most formidable lineup yet, featuring original members alongside official drummer Junpei Yamamoto (LOOLOWNINGEN, etc.) and longtime live support bassist Mikio Matsuzaki (Stim, Dengaryu & Kaisersoze, etc.).

Musical Concept The band channels the minimalism of pioneers like Steve Reich, the euphoric energy of techno/dance legends like Jeff Mills, and the ambient philosophies of Brian Eno. They confront the sprawling complexity of the modern landscape by bridging the physical band-manners of post-rock (exemplified by Tortoise) with the cosmic, traversing sensibilities of Floating Points. In this work, Rupurizu has further purified the ensemble sound established in their previous records while soaring into a unique world-building vision, aided by the participation of Hiki in the conceptual making. This "double-disc" album includes a self-written liner note titled "Official Bootleg."

Production Credits The album was engineered and mixed by Keiichi Kobayashi (Strawberry House), known for his work with THE COLLECTORS. Mastering was handled by Conor Dalton (Calyx Mastering) in Germany, a veteran engineer whose credits include Takkyu Ishino and numerous electronic luminaries.
